Mizzi Studio is internationally recognised for its bold, regenerative approach to architecture. This summer, Kew Gardens in London announced its Carbon Garden, opening in July 2025, which will feature a permanent pavilion designed by Jonathan Mizzi. Shaped like a fruiting body and built with natural, low-carbon materials, the pavilion celebrates the vital role plants and fungi play in tackling climate change.
Mizzi will also share insights from The Living Bridge in Bali, a co-learning centre designed and built with the students, teachers, and parents of Green School. Made from bamboo, mycelium panels, and other regenerative materials, the project gave students hands-on experience in reimagining education spaces as places that heal both people and planet.
Looking to Malta, Mizzi Studio has been entrusted with creating a holistic vision for the Blue Lagoon in Comino. The project seeks to protect the fragile Natura 2000 site, reduce visitor pressure, and restore dignity to one of Malta’s most treasured natural spaces.
This is a unique opportunity to hear from one of Malta’s most innovative architects as he discusses how design can move beyond sustainability towards regeneration—building not just for today, but for future generations.
