It is our privilege to invite you to an artistic discussion with Tonio Mallia regarding his exhibition Tuitio Fidei, currently on display at MUŻA, Valletta.
One of Malta’s leading artists, Tonio Mallia’s paintings are enriched by his deeply philosophical and spiritual approach to every theme he tackles. In his current exhibition, he revisits the suffering of the Great Siege of 1565, a momentous battle for Malta. Each of his monumental works links a historic episode to a spiritual significance.
Mallia does not stop there, however. Through his art, he draws striking parallels with today’s conflicts in the Middle East — the very birthplace of the Sovereign Order of St John of Jerusalem — which is once again shaken by fire, famine, and death.
During this session, Tonio Mallia will speak about his artistic inspiration and share his reflections on the juxtaposition of Malta’s past and the world’s present, reminding us that:
“There is no victor in a war. They who live will count the bodies of the dead.”
Date & Time: Wednesday 17th September
Venue: MUŻA, Merchants Street, Valletta
Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with one of Malta’s foremost contemporary artists in a powerful dialogue that bridges history, art, and humanity.
