GOZO UNDER THREAT

Gozo is again under threat – a major development of 38 apartments and 63 garages permitted in Nadur will eat away at precious farmland, causing sewage to run into our crops and the water table, and causing massive parking issues while also posing safety issues.

In 2021 a group of young residents drummed up  1300+ objections – in spite of this PA 00085/21 was approved. We are still fighting, and now they need YOUR help!

It’s imperative that we citizens enjoy our right to a good quality of life, preserving the countryside and iconic views for future generations; however, this case is even more serious as this land does not belong to these developers but to local residents, whose ownership deeds go back generations.

The PA has approved this massive Nadur block without proper studies on parking, lack of drainage systems, pollution, residents’ quality of life, ownership, emergency service access, etc. This development does not belong in Qortin Street, Nadur, and the residents need to appeal and fight to revoke the permit, which can only be done with your help.

FAA is supporting this residents’ group with its expertise – all donations will go to cover the costs of their legal team which has done sterling work in fighting this at the PA, but now they need your help to fight this case in court.

Gozo is losing its charm, quality of life and its economy due to overdevelopment.  By fighting this, we can stop this downhill spiral and save some land for future generations.
